Serbian President inspected Serbian section of the Serbian-Hungarian Railway Project

On May 30, 2020, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic inspected Serbian section of the Serbian-Hungarian Railway Project. Ms. Zorana Mihajlovic, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia and Mr. Chen Bo, Chinese Ambassador to Serbia and other officials accompanied the inspection. The manager of the Serbia section of CRDC and some employees and Serbian engineers participated in the event.

President Vucic and his delegation came to the construction site of the Belgrade-Stara Pazova section, where they were briefed on the progress of the project, bilateral cooperation and technical exchanges between Chinese and Serbian enterprises and addressed the audience and media.

Once the left line of the Belgrade- Stara Pazova section of the Hungary-Serbia Railway in Serbia is open to public, Serbian citizens will be able to take high-speed trains from Belgrade to Novi Sad at 200 km/h.

China Railway Design has participated in the preliminary research work of the project since 2015, and has formed a design consortium with local design institutes to jointly undertake the project survey and design work
